Stackable is a personal collection management app operated as an independent project. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using Stackable, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name, username, and email address. This information is stored securely in Supabase.
Collection data: Items you add to your collection, including titles, ISBNs, authors, notes, ratings, reading statuses, tags, and public or private visibility choices.
Social data: Follow and following relationships you establish, and public profile information you choose to share.
Waitlist emails: If you join our waitlist before signing up, we store your email address to notify you of access.
Analytics: We use PostHog to collect anonymized product usage events (e.g., which features are used). PostHog may set cookies. You can opt out by using a content blocker. No personally identifiable information is intentionally sent to PostHog.
Performance data: We use Vercel Analytics, which collects aggregated, anonymized performance data. No personal identifiers are associated with this data.
Error diagnostics: We use Sentry to capture application errors and performance data needed to debug and improve reliability. We avoid sending unnecessary personal data.

Your data is stored in Supabase, which runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Passwords are never stored in plaintext — they are hashed using industry-standard algorithms managed by Supabase Auth.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

Your username and any items you have not marked as private are visible to anyone on your public profile at /u/[username]. You can control the visibility of individual items in your collection settings.
If you delete your account, your public profile and all associated data will be removed.

Stackable is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at hello@trystackable.com and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted with a new effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Stackable after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
